Built by well-known Queenscliff boatbuilder Brett Almond, Katherine is a 30’ timber displacement cruiser that has had just two owners since new. With a beam of 8’10” and a draft of just 3’, she is a comfortable and capable bay cruiser, equally suited to relaxed day trips, overnight stays or exploring the coastline.
Over recent years, Katherine has undergone extensive restoration and mechanical upgrades at The Wooden Boat Shop. She has been carefully maintained throughout her life and presents in excellent condition, with all the charm of a traditional timber boat backed by dependable modern systems.
Built with celery pine frames, Malaysian kauri planking and Iroko (South African teak) topsides, Katherine is powered by a near-new 110hp Yanmar 4JH110TIE turbo diesel engine with approximately 80 hours. Together with a new gearbox, propeller, shaft, exhaust system, electrical upgrades and new batteries, she is ready for immediate use.
The timber-lined cabin, finished with brass fittings throughout, provides comfortable accommodation for two, with additional sleeping available under the covered aft deck. The spacious cockpit offers generous seating and a timber table, making her equally suited to cruising, fishing or spending time aboard with family and friends.
Katherine is currently berthed at Blairgowrie and has been maintained by The Wooden Boat Shop.
