Originally built by Blunt Boatbuilders in 1930 24’ Hettie is Couta Boat in style and has a Bermudian rig. Primarily used as a recreational fishing vessel for her lifetime she presents as a perfect day boat for those interested in sailing, fishing or pleasant picnics aboard.
Her current condition is excellent having recently undergone a total restoration with no expense spared. She carries a Yanmar diesel 2GM20, Raymarine Axiom 7 plotter with sonar and remote controlled HR700 Muir anchor windlass. Her jib is easily furled and rig in excellent shape, includes all sails and sail covers. She carries a head and dual bilge pumps. Beautiful little Hettie is setup for total sail away. She has a beam of 9’3” and draft of 3’3”. She’s carvel planked with NZ Kauri and her teak deck has been fibre glassed in to prevent leaks. Her spars are Oregan. Check out the article on SWS here.
