Flags
Flags flown in fresh gale
force breezes will have a considerably shorter life than those flown in quieter
circumstances. We have witnessed new flag destruction after only one prolonged
gale in an exposed area, whilst in ideal circumstances flags have been known to
last two years. Flag break-down occurs on extremities/edges and if maintained
can be re-stitched to lengthen life.
To extend a flags life:
︎Re-stitch when showing signs of ware
︎Remove in periods of high wind
︎Remove at night
︎Remove when not required
