Apprenticeship Opportunities
The Wooden Boatshop is a proud accredited training facility for marine trades. We accept expressions of interest from people interested in pursuing an apprenticeship and recruit apprentices from time to time as positions become available.Apprenticeship opportunities may include:
Position Descriptions
Boatbuilding – Learn traditional and modern techniques in wooden boat construction and restoration.
Electrical Systems Technician – Gain practical experience in marine wiring, installation and diagnostics.
Diesel Mechanic – Develop skills in servicing and maintaining marine diesel engines and propulsion systems.
About ApprenticeshipsApprentices combine formal study, usually one day per week at TAFE, with practical experience in our yard. You’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople on both new builds and restorations, gaining hands-on skills and direct mentorship while contributing to the construction and care of classic wooden boats.
