A WEEK AT WILSONS PROM

AUGUST 2022

Sailing Kauri Chief to Wilsons Prom was an adventure! We set off with the boat packed and perfectly prepped for a fun week of fishing, sailing, and cruising.

Wilsoms Prom is notoriously beautiful. Like anywhere, all the best parts are remote and difficult to access. It’s also an ideal launchpad for exploring the Bass Strait Islands. On this trip we kept it local and stuck around the Prom... there was plenty to explore!

We set out from Port Phillip and headed straight to Cleeland Bight, where we overnighted.

The next day we sailed all the way to Refuge Cove, which was a long way given there wasn’t much wind. From Refuge, which is located on the eastern side of the prom, we based ourselves for the week.
